The Coronation

Message from Bishop Martin Warner

Across the diocese of Chichester, people are offering prayers for King Charles and Camilla the Queen Consort, as we approach the Coronation and all the celebrations that will attend it. We pray for God’s blessing on the King and Queen. May they serve well the people of the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth, holding before us the virtues that will be represented in the Coronation service: justice and mercy, truth and humility, wisdom and honour. Above all, may the Coronation remind us of our accountability to each other and to God, in whose sight all people are equally loved and valued. God save the King. God grant us liberty and peace.

+ Martin

Prayer

Almighty God, the fountain of all goodness, bless our Sovereign Lord, King Charles, and all who are in authority under him; that they may order all things in wisdom and equity, righteousness and peace, to the honour of your name, and the good of your Church and people; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
